Live indie and alternative music tonight comes from GHOSTWOOD SHANKS, THE BRIGHTS & THE LIBRARY SUITS.
DJ support comes in the form of BADSPELLER who play's all your indie and electro faves.

PULSE host the upstairs tonight with resident AVTEX joined by MILITANT who is responsible for Southends (and Essex) leading night dedicated to dubstep, WOBBLE.
Expect a mix of dubstep, techno & house.

MAGISTRATES & HIGH OFF THE DANCEHALLS

High Off The Dancehalls featuring Magistrates live.
Zane Lowe has been heavily playing the Magistrates debut single 'Make This Work' on his Radio 1 show for weeks and recently dubbed it "the hottest record in the world right now". They have played a whole host of festivals over the summer including Radio 1's Big Weekend, Wireless, Lattitude and V among others. In October they support Bloc Party in Glasgow as part of the MTV Gonzo tour and then head off on tour with Black Kids.
They will soon be off on a huge tour so now will be the last chance to catch them at an intimate venue, in their home county.
There will be supports acts, and after the live bands we continue the night in true style with a special guest DJ set from DEKKER.
We expect it to be fairly busy so have put a limited number of advanced tickets on sale at:

Tickets cost £5 plus fees. Once these are gone, we will be holding some back for sale on the door.

We're very pleased to announce that the leading UK indie music mag, NME will be hosting a weekly Club NME party here at barhouse from December.
They'll be bands and DJs primarily from the indie/ dance crossover sounds providing a Friday party mix for listening and dancing pleasure!

STRAY MONKEY is the new Student night starting at barhouse and taking place every Tuesday from 30th Sept. .
It's going to be the only local student indie night with live bands, acts and DJs, plus your usual cheap drinks and free giveaways!!
The Underground Heroes kick off the night with Red Track and Ruper & The Robbers in support.

Thats right, the Cheeky Cheeky girls will be playing a live naked hardcore thrash set @ barhouse!! OK, so that isn't true, but we can wish. Instead we have Suffolk band CHEEKY CHEEKY & THE NOSEBLEEDS making a trip down the A12 to provide us with some of their infectious indie pop. After rave reports from their performance at Latitude the barhouse HQ is looking forward to this one..

SECRETSUNDAZE was officially named by Mixmag (and pretty much every other dance music online and print publication) as the number 1 UK party over the last few years. The London summer based party has a huge following which has seen Secretsundaze being asked to host parties in Ibiza, Snowbombing and Sonar. Co-founder and resident JAMES PRIESTLEY will be stopping by barhouse for a super duper special set of house and techno. can you Adam n' Eve it!?

Although only been open a few weeks and also an out of London venue barhouse seems to have struck a chord with one of the leading underground house & techno record labels in the bloomin World, DIRTYBIRD. After his set at the barhouse launch weekend Dirtybird head honcho, CHRISTIAN MARTIN returns for another appearance. And in tow is another of the Dirtybird rising stars, WORTHY who'll also be sharing some of his wonky minimal beats. Both of them will be playing barhouse in Oct..
