barhouse records is a new record label from Chelmsford based music venue, barhouse.

The aim of barhouse records is to provide a launch pad for local and national based bands, artists and producers.

Music featured on the label will be a representation of the music played at the barhouse venue – a genre defying crossover mix of indie, electronic, hip hop, house & more. With an open minded view towards to all music, the sounds coming out of barhouse records will be aimed at your stereo, as well as the dancefloor.

The record label will work in conjunction with the venue and will not only offer artists record deals but will also support them with live gigs, live broadcasts, and live visual & audio recordings.

The first release on barhouse records will be from local Chelmsford band CAT HOUSE, who will be releasing their TRIBE ep in March 2009.
